At Lerntal “Learning Valley” we teach the fundamentals; creating a balanced rider to enhance feeling and establish clarity of the aids. Understanding the horse by seeing, feeling and listening expands our knowledge of horse communication, in turn, provides a safe environment for both horse and rider.
We want everyone to experience a positive time whilst learning, our aim here at Lerntal, is to have fun and be safe.

Private Lessons
Private lesson on your own horse/ pony.
We would love to help guide you with your horse, We teach from ages of 5 years old and up.
Pricing
$50 1/2 hr (under 7years of age)
$80 for 1 hour.
Plus travel
Lessons on our school horses
We offer the opportunity to learn from our splendid horse and a pony! Our lessons are exclusively private, one on one!
We strive in teaching the fundamentals whilst being safe and having fun learning! Please scroll down to find out more info! We teach starts from 5years and up.
Pricing:
$60 for 1/2 hr (7 years and under)
$100 for 1 hour
Group lessons
We have been teaching at pony club and adult riders for over 10years. We thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals. Over the years we have assisted a variety of different leveled horses from green horses through to FEI level dressage. We provide fun exercises adapting to all ages from led to experienced riders.
We do provide group lessons if you have our own horse and more than happy to travel to you.
Horse Training
We do provide horse education in horsemanship and dressage training, these spaces are limited. We have helped numerous horses over the years.
We do not take horses in for reeducating, horses that bolt, rear and buck.

Policies
Weather Policy:
We occasionally need to cancel lessons in extreme weather such as:
*High / severe wind
*Hail
*Extreme heat
We do not book lessons on catastrophic weather days for everyone’s safety .
Cancellation Policy:
We really appreciate if you could give us plenty of notice when you need to reschedule or cancel your booking.
Please let us know within a minimum of three days prior if you cannot make your booking.
*If notified between 48-24hrs half of the lesson will be charged
*If notified less than 24hrs you will be charged the full cost of the lesson.
Meet our school horses
At Lerntal we really want each person to thrive and currently only teach one on one lessons (with our horses). We feel we can personalise to you and help in that very moment.
Bucky
Is a 17yo 15.2hh Stock horse X Quarter Horse.
Bucky has been in our school for over 5years. He thoroughly enjoys teaching his riders natural horsemanship and the basic fundamentals of riding. Bucky naturally adapts to his riders, giving them confidence and also teaching how to fine tune their riding skills. Bucky has a fun personality and utterly adores cuddles.
Bucky is well seasoned in teaching beginners through to novice level dressage.
For the welfare of our horses we ask that your weight is under 75kg to ride Bucky.
Flynn
Is our super cute, little 11.2hh 22yo welsh x arab
Flynn is well versed in all things pony club. Flynn has so much fun with his riders, he is super experienced, giving confidence to all his riders and looks after them with utmost care. Being so accomplished in all fields, he is able to adapt and adjusts to each riders skill level, it could be your first ride and progressing to different stages such as jumping or cantering.
For the welfare of Flynn we ask that your weight is under 40kg

Our Coach
Chari-lee has been teaching for nearly 10 years to a variety of ages and experiences. Chari-lee has also conducted a wellbeing program at Oakbank Area School for a term to help assist students in learning the fundamentals about horsemanship and to help their wellbeing.
